Whitaker Odorless Mineral Spirits are a paint thinner that is distilled from petroleum. They are also known as “white spirits” and are a less expensive, less sticky, and less offensive-smelling alternative to turpentine.
Odorless mineral spirits are distilled to remove volatile hydrocarbons, which makes them odorless. They are also refined to reduce toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and sulfur. However, they still contain small amounts of aliphatic hydrocarbons.
